PBL Design Institute

This four-day institute, also known as Harris Institute, provides participants with experience as PBL learners engaged in a problem. From this experience, the participants analyze the critical elements of IMSA's PBL model through dialogue with fellow participants and facilitators. They apply this knowledge as they engage in the design process for a problem to be used in their own classrooms. Participants receive instruction and mentoring from a team of experienced PBL educators. More...

Investigaciones Coaching Institute, running parallel with the Sleuths Coaching Institute, is designed for bilingual-Spanish teachers who learn PBL coaching strategies in the context of its use with bilingual-Spanish middle school students. More...

This four-day learning experience will provide additional opportunities for the participants to design curricular units for their classrooms and to explore effective assessment strategies. In this second level of design, the teachers incorporate knowledge they gained from their first PBL experience with students. More...
